4 People Fell off an Oceanside Cliff in Southern California

A woman fell off her feet Monday and fell off the cliff that was 200 to 300 feet high. Then, when others attempted to stop the woman from collapse, they too, fell into the bluff's sheerness, Palos Verdes Estates Police Capt. Steve Barber said.

There is no suspicion of foul play Evidence at the scene showed that the group was drinking, police said.
A man who fell down the cliff sustained minor or moderate injuries but did manage to climb back to the nearby roadway at which point he was found by a patrolling police officer around 4:45 a.m. On Monday.
The woman who fell, as well as a victim of the fall, was rescued from the fall by Los Angeles County firefighters who were able to rappel from a helicopter to take them to the safety of.

One was transported by air to the medical center in critical health, and the other was transported by ambulance, both in critical state. Both are stable, Barber said.

The person who died was named by the name of Jerardo Huitzil who was 25 years old, The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed.

The group was believed to have been on the edge of the cliff for around five hours before the falling, Barber said.

"We think of the incident as something that happened," barber added. Barber.

Palos Verdes Estates located located on the Palos Verdes Peninsula situated at the southern tip of Los Angeles County. A trail is a part of the bluff's top approximately 300 feet high above that of the Pacific Ocean.

There have been a few incidents in the region over the time, Barber said, and some suicides.

"There's no evidence at the moment that this wasn't the result of an accident" the official said.
